Marathon Apparel Manufacturer and Distributor
Project Overview Our client, an established Tyvek™ recycler, has ventured into the Marathon Apparel market by creating a low cost yet highly effective cold weather start garment. They were looking for an application services provider that could not only host their e-commerce site, but provide value by integrating the application suite into their existing back office systems. Our project objective was to design and implement a complete e-commerce suite to enable merchant transactions and order fulfillment. We selected the Open For Business application framework from which to start building the application, thus jump starting the application development cycle by many man months. Working closely with the product development team, we also assisted in providing a revised product branding message and logo. Solution First, we selected the Open For Business application framework and added necessary application modifications and enhancements. Next, to facilitate the clients data entry process, we built a Linux server and deployed it to the client site to run the software from inside their network to enable faster product image uploads as well as a means for the client to learn the application in a protected network environment. Next, a production server was procured and configured with appropriate software. Development site aliases were established to enable the remote development teams to collaborate and review work products.
